Infralobo is now offering its customers the possibility of installing a second meter for water use that does not give rise to water being collected by the public sewerage system, and in particular irrigation of green spaces. Customers choosing to install a second meter are exempt from the variable sewerage and municipal waste rates, and only the variable water rates are applied. Whenever you don’t irrigate, i.e. during rainy seasons, the meter will not represent any additional cost. For customers, the installation of a second meter also has the advantage of being able to differentiate water use in their home from that of their garden, allowing greater control over costs. Any customer using public mains water for their garden’s automatic irrigation system can request a second meter; however, they should first make sure that they have a speciality project that identifies the separation of domestic and irrigation water networks. If there is no such separation, to use a second meter, customers will have to undertake works to their property’s water network, which will then be subject to an inspection.
