On World Environment Day, June 05, municipal company Infralobo and AREAL (Algarve Regional Agency for Energy and Environment) signed a collaboration protocol, with a view to specialised technical support in the area of energy management. Infralobo thus continues to develop projects and actions in line with the Municipal Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change of the Municipality of Loulé (EMAAC).
On the basis of Infralobo's interests and needs, AREAL will provide technical support in the development of an energy management system by setting energy efficiency targets and goals for Infralobo’s facilities and fleet, by analysing and comparing energy consumption and respective indicators and, also, by continuously identifying opportunities for rationalising consumption.
This collaboration is part of Infralobo's management strategy, which prioritises areas of great importance, such as technological innovation and sustainability (energy, environmental and economic). In this regard, major investments have been made in technology as a way of integrating, linking and streamlining procedures and processes, thus allowing a more efficient management of its entire area of operation. This modernisation has been reflected in the launch, in 2017, of the Smart Resort project (which incorporates several components, such as Telemetry, Document Management, Customer Relationship Management-CRM and Infralobo Smart Management, among others), and this year, in the new shared-use electric bicycles project (Smart Bikes by Infralobo). And in the very near future, the domestic wastewater monitoring system will also become a reality.
