We remind you however that in accordance with current regulations, meter readings should be made by our services at least twice a year and with a maximum gap between two consecutive readings of eight months.
Infralobo carries out readings of the meters in its area of operation every month. To this end, our customers are made aware of the need to place meters in an appropriate box, in accordance with current regulations, outside the property, so that we can read the meter without customers needing to be present to allow us to enter their property.
We use a range of meters, but only the numbers on a black background should be considered (ignore the red numbers).
The most convenient method of service contract bill payment is direct debit, which you can sign up for at any moment, simply by providing us with a copy of the Standing Direct Debit Authorisation printout, duly filled out, signed and confirmed by the banking institution.
If you do not wish to pay your bill by direct debit, you can do so via ‘Multibanco’ within the period allowed for payment (using the payment details shown on the bill), via bank transfer, or at our offices (cash, debit card or cheque), as outlined here.
When the period allowed for bill payment has elapsed, you will have to contact our offices, in person or by phone, email, letter or fax, to be informed as to the amount to be paid. The payment can be made at our offices, or by bank transfer.

If you notice a change in colour in your water, check whether any works have been carried out to the network in your area. Work to the network can lead to earth entering the system. This is an occasional and temporary situation and can be resolved by letting the tap run until the water becomes clear. You can check if any work is being carried out through the notices published on our site, or by contacting Infralobo.
Another factor that may change the colour of water is the presence of iron. The water distributed by Infralobo meets the parametric values demanded by law, regularly controlling them, and there is no risk to public health.
However, iron can also come from steel or cast iron pipes installed in your property’s plumbing system (private network). We thus advise our customers to check these situations regularly and to replace the piping when necessary.
Household water is regulated by legislation over various parameters, including its power of hydrogen (pH).
The water supplied by Infralobo is regularly checked and analysed, and on every occasion has fully complied with legal requirements.
Household water is disinfected with small amounts of chlorine. This treatment ensures the microbiological quality of the water and has no harmful effect on health. However, sometimes the chlorine can be smelled or tasted. In this event, you should let the water rest for a few minutes until this disappears.
The water may come out of the tap looking cloudy when there is air dissolved in the water. Leave it to rest for a few minutes and the cloudiness will disappear. This cloudiness does not affect the quality of the water, which is in perfect conditions for consumption.
This waste is collected by the company ALGAR, S.A. and taken to a sorting centre. Here, following separation according to type, it is compacted and baled, and then transported to recycling/reuse units.
No, the waste disposed in the underground containers or in green containers, is collected and transported by Infralobo to a transfer station belonging to Algar S.A. and from there taken to a landfill site, where it is land filled in cells.
The waste remains thus indefinitely, making it vital that we reduce the volume of this waste as much as we can, through the effective separation of materials that can and should be recycled.
